In 2013, award-winning journalist Canadian-Egyptian journalist Mohamed Fahmy he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in Tora maximum security prison for his coverage of the Arab Spring. Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney took up his case and Fahmy served 438 days of his sentence before she secured his freedom. This documentary interviews Fahmy about his harrowing ordeal and his ongoing work to fight the suppression of the press, including archive footage from the trial.
